When Someone You Love Dies From COVID-19
In partnership with Spring Grove Funeral Homes, COJ's Sheila Munafo-Kanoza and COJ's Ann Marie Kahwaty-Bogan created this webinar to offer support for those who have had a loved one die from COVID-19. The grieving process of losing someone to COVID-19 is complicated and different from the normal grief process. For many, these losses are sudden and unexpected. Factor in not being there in a loved one's time of need, not being able to communicate with family members in a natural way, not being able to say goodbye, not participating in normal rituals — all of this can make grieving more difficult and complicated. Coping with grief, especially when it is complicated by social isolation and trauma, takes time.
