Navigating Grief and the Holidays
Each season comes with its own time to remember, its own set of traditions and rituals. These are often closely tied to our connections with our families and friends. When we lose a loved one, the seasons, traditions and rituals can sometimes take on new meaning. They also confront us with the loss of those connections, reminding us of yet another hurdle we must endure in our journey of grief.
Holiday grief can be unpredictable and overwhelming. After the death of a loved one we may discover that we have little control over things, but it is important to remember that we do have control over how we respond.
